
TORNADO INFORMATION
*MONTHLY SIREN TESTING: 1st Monday of each month (March - October)
*Conducted at 6:00pm, a 30 second TORNADO WATCH signal will be tested first followed 4 minutes later (+/-) by the up and down signal for the TORNADO WARNING which, for the test, will be about 1 minute. An Actual Tornado Warning signal will be 3 minutes long.
Note: The September test is conducted on the 2nd Monday due to Labor Day. The March and September tests are typically conducted at 10:00am to allow nearby schools to participate in the practice drill.

WATCH: Weather conditions could lead to the formation of severe storms or tornadoes. BE PREPARED. Know your safe location . Be ready to act quickly if a warning is issued or you suspect a tornado is approaching.

WARNING: A tornado has been spotted or indicated by weather radar, meaning a tornado is occurring or expected soon. TAKE ACTION: There is imminent danger to life and property. Immediately take refuge in the safest location possible.
